Halle Berry adds some sparkle to her look!

On Monday, September 16, the 58-year-old Oscar winner was seen in an impressive outfit at the world premiere of her new horror thriller. Never let goheld in the royal Times Square in New York City.

Berry posed for photographers in a crystal mesh halter dress by Tamara Ralph, held up by a chunky gold chain.

The dazzling outfit featured a chevron pattern in various metallic shades.

She rounded off the glamorous look with a chunky gold bangle, a wavy open hairstyle, glossy nude lips and a bit of gold.

According to an official summary of Never let goBerry’s character is in total protective mode.

“In this new psychological thriller, evil takes over the world on their doorstep. The only protection for a mother (played by Berry) and her twin sons (played by Anthony B. Jenkins and Percy Daggs IV) is their home and the protective bond of their family,” the description reads.

“They must stay connected at all times – they even tie themselves with ropes – and cling to each other, urging each other never to let go. But when one of the boys asks if evil really exists, the bonds that hold them together break and a terrible struggle for survival begins,” it continues.

Speaking about the film at CinemaCon on April 10, Berry admitted that she had to use “a little bit of method acting” to play someone in wilderness survival mode.

She noted that her character “eat bugs and frogs – raw frogs – in the forest” and said, “I actually had to skin a squirrel. Those things were a big challenge for me to create a reality in this world that felt so alien.”

PETA later confirmed that director Alexandre Aja, who has made animal-themed horror films such as the 2010 Piranha 3D and 2019 Creepused only realistic-looking props, as PEOPLE previously reported.

Lauren Thomasson, PETA’s director of animals in film and television, said in a statement: “While moviegoers fidget in their seats at the sight of a skinned ‘squirrel,’ Alexandre Aja’s use of movie magic in place of a thinking, feeling being in Never let go proves once again that technology is the key to modern, human film production.”

Never let go will be in cinemas on September 20th.
