Groom made an incredible prediction in a photo in the school yearbook that came true on his wedding day

A man who bet $20 in his school yearbook won his bet on his wedding day.

When Cade Wessell wrote his yearbook quote in 2018, he had only been dating his girlfriend Sarah Dill for two weeks before he knew what words his classmates would remember him with.

“Twenty dollars if I marry Sarah Dill” was the quote he chose, and you can probably guess how this story will end.

Five years later, he walked down the aisle with Sarah after proposing to her in January 2023.

To top off the joke, someone even gave Cade $20 as he walked down the aisle – a pretty good way to wrap things up with a pretty little bow.

Since then, they have been on a two-year honeymoon through Asia and Australia and plan to return to the United States in time for the 2026 World Cup.

Cade from Florida said, “The teacher slapped all this on us at the last minute, and when the form was passed around, that was the first time I thought about it.”

“I had nothing profound to say, like some of my friends tried to.

“I just thought about Sarah and knew I was going to marry her and I thought, ‘This is going to be cool.’

“I didn’t tell her anything, I just wanted to see if they would print it. At my bachelor party, we were talking about my graduation quote. A buddy said, ‘I’ll give you $20 if you walk down the aisle afterward.’

“I had forgotten it in all the planning and as we walked up the aisle, he tapped me on the shoulder and gave me the $20.

“I was the happiest person in the world that day. We took perfect photos and I also earned $20 more.”

Sarah, who had transferred to another school during her senior year, only found out about her husband’s romantic gesture when friends sent her a picture of her yearbook.

She said: “I had friends at school and they sent me a picture of it on Snapchat in class.

“I was speechless, especially because we had only been together for a few weeks. He was quite confident from the start.

“When we looked at this picture, it was a full circle moment for us. To finally have the wedding with all our friends and family and the bet fulfilled, it just feels like a romantic comedy.”

If you’re betting that you’ll marry the girlfriend you’ve been dating for two weeks and who’s in the school yearbook, your odds may be different.
