We all love a round-the-world golf adventure, but unfortunately getting there on a commercial airline can be a harrowing experience. Delays, lost luggage and destroyed clubs are commonplace and threaten to ruin your dream trip before it even begins. Luckily, Denver International Airport is looking to make things a little more bearable for traveling golfers by adding Golf DEN, a golf simulator facility with five simulator courts, club rentals and a full bar on the mezzanine level of DEN’s Concourse A.

This Rocky Mountain recharge leverages Uneekor simulator technology, giving players the opportunity to practice on virtual courses like PGA National and the Old Course at St. Andrews while on the way to the actual courses. Sessions are available in 15-minute blocks and cost $20 for 15 minutes, $34 for 30 minutes, and $65 for a full hour. Rental clubs are included in the price, but travelers are welcome to bring their own clubs (good luck with that).

But surviving air travel today requires more than just golf. Alcohol is also required, and Golf DEN is happy to oblige, offering on-the-go golfers a relaxation bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including Golf DEN’s very own microbrew IPA. Golf DEN also plans to offer club “memberships” – such as the Cancellation Club, which includes a full 60-minute session and two alcoholic drinks for $75 – and league play for regulars, with a season length of five weeks. Sounds like a pretty good way to earn frequent flyer miles with us.
