Amazon Prime Gaming welcomes the Halloween season this month with a selection of spooky games including Illfonic’s asymmetrical shooter, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed.

Now available to Prime members, players can claim a free copy by linking their Amazon account to the Epic Games Store so they can download the game immediately. This digital version contains the full game and all previously released DLC content and can be redeemed until November 13th.

Since the game supports cross-platform play, existing players will likely notice an increase in paranormal activity since it’s not only available through Prime, as previously reported, Spirits unleashed will join the PlayStation Plus program on October 15 and will be accessible to users with Extra or Premium subscriptions.

Not only is it free for Prime members, but PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers also have the option to sign up Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed joins the Sony service on October 15th. This new availability comes at the perfect time as the game is expected to launch soon Ghostbusters II‘s Scoleri Brothers as part of a highly anticipated fall update. Meanwhile, the game’s overworld hub has welcomed the season, decking out the Firehouse headquarters and Ray’s occult books with holiday decorations. The update also includes time-limited customization options, including spooky masks like a Frankenstein-inspired monster and an evil-to-the-bone skulll.

Looking further ahead, the Winter Update is currently availableThe latest advertised free DLC add-on will add this Real Ghostbusters“Boogieman as a playable character.” Touted as “Fans’ favorite spirit” Boogieman’s addition comes thanks to a recent fan poll where he defeated both Gozer the Gozerian and the Librarian Ghost.

Since its initial release in fall 2022, the game has received regular quarterly free DLC updates, including last year’s Halloween tie-in that was introduced The real Ghostbusters Villain Samhain, while the game is also renamed as Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Ecto Edition. More recently, in collaboration with the publication of Ghostbusters: Frozen EmpireThe film’s big bad, Garraka, was unleashed, allowing players to fight or take control of the Phantom God.
