All eyes will be on the reigning champions of the Indian Women’s League (IWL) Odisha FC Who starts his AFC Women’s Champions League 2024–25 Election campaign on Sunday.

Odisha FC, who qualified for the AFC Women’s Champions League After winning the 2023-24 Indian Women’s League title, they will face Singapore’s Lion City Sailors at the Prince Mohammed Stadium in Jordan. They have been drawn in Group B of the preliminary round and will also face Jordan’s Etihad Club at the same venue next week.

Odisha FC need to win their preliminary round to qualify for the group stage. If they do so, they will be drawn into Group C in the next round where they will face Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan, Ho Chi Minh City FC of Vietnam and Taichung Blue Whale of Chinese Taipei.

The group matches will take place in October. The two best teams from each of the three groups and the two best third-placed teams will qualify for the quarter-finals.

The knockout phase will begin in March 2025, while the semi-finals and final will be played in one match each at a central venue in May next year.

The AFC Women’s Champions League 2024-25 is the first edition of the football Tournament. It replaces the AFC Women’s Club Championship. Gokulam Kerala represented India in this competition last season and finished second in Group A.
