Georgia Bulldogs handle Mississippi State at home

The Georgia Bulldogs are halfway through their matchup with the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Here’s how the match has developed so far.

The Georgia Bulldogs are halfway through their matchup with the Mississippi State Bulldogs and looked relatively flawless as they headed into the locker room down 27-10. Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck has already thrown for 300 yards and two touchdowns. After the first 30 minutes, here’s how the game has developed so far.

While Georgia’s defense was strong on the first drive, the Bulldogs’ offense was once again misguided after a pass attempt by Mississippi State’s Carson Beck was deflected and intercepted. The Bulldogs would cash in with a field goal three plays later. Georgia would answer with a field goal of their own after a 10-play drive. Georgia’s defense would continue to stand firm and force another three-pointer, which Georgia would take advantage of and take the lead. Mississippi State would not score a first down in the entire first quarter.

The Dawgs’ first drive of the second quarter would result in a field goal. A 71-yard bomb gave Mississippi State the opportunity to score its first touchdown of the day, increasing the score to 13-10. Georgia would respond with a touchdown pass of its own, extending the lead back to 10 points. With just under two minutes left, the Dawgs were able to capitalize once again and extend their lead to 27-10. Mississippi State would be intercepted by KJ Bolden on the ensuing drive and Georgia would miss a 55-yard field goal attempt to end the half.

The Bulldogs will receive the ball to start the second half. Stay tuned for more exciting action at Sanford Stadium.
