Game updates, live scores in college football

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – No. 14 Clemson football defeated Florida State on Saturday, winning 29-13 at Doak Campbell Stadium.

The Tigers’ win wasn’t like their previous three, defeating their opponents by 21 points or more. It resembled a chess game of not giving FSU the ball in a hostile environment to win. Still, Clemson (4-1, 3-0 ACC) outscored FSU (1-5, 1-4) 500-250 to secure its fourth straight win and third straight conference win.

Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik threw two touchdowns and freshman kicker Nolan Hauser went 4 of 6 to defeat the Tigers. Defensively, Clemson recorded one turnover and two sacks.

Clemson faces Wake Forest (2-3, 1-1) on the road next Saturday (noon ET, ESPN) at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium.

Clemson vs. FSU results updates

The Tigers earned their third conference win and kept pace with the top teams in the ACC. They defeated FSU, continuing their overall dominance over the past four weeks.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney has the most wins leading an ACC program in conference history, surpassing Bobby Bowden.

The Tigers drove into the red zone again and settled for another field. Hauser converted a 25-yard run to extend Clemson’s lead.

Hauser is 5-for-7 on Saturday, with his two misses coming from blocked attempts.

Clemson running back Phil Mafah gave FSU a 59-yard run to put the team in the red zone. But the offense stalled again, forcing the rookie to kick again. He knocked down a 31-yard attempt to extend Clemson’s lead.

Glenn led a 15-play, 74-yard drive to give FSU hope as the game dwindled. He threw a 12-yard touchdown to Ja’Khi Douglas in the end zone, but the offense failed to turn the two-point conversion into an eight-point game.

The Tigers’ offense stalled again in the red zone and Hauser’s 25-yard kick was blocked. It was the second time Saturday that the freshman field goal was blocked. He is 3-for-5 with plays of 26, 38 and 25 yards.

Hauser scored his third field goal of the game with a 25-yarder. With just over 90 seconds left, Clemson went on a 12-play drive to end the first half.

The Tigers defeated the Seminoles 313-84 and led at halftime. FSU receives the ball first in the second half.

Hauser made his longest field goal of his career with a 38-yarder. Clemson pushed deep into FSU territory, but the offense stalled again.

Quarterback Cade Klubnik is 12 of 17 with 158 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Clemson pushed deep into FSU territory, but a tackle for loss and a sack derailed its push. Nolan Hauser attempted a 38-yard field goal, but it was blocked by a Seminole defender.

FSU responded with a touchdown after their interception on the previous drive. They made big progress with a 35-yard reception and a roughing the passer penalty.

Glenn capped it all off with a 13-yard touchdown to tight end Amaree Williams.

After an Avieon Terrell interception, the Tigers put together a four-play touchdown drive. Quarterback Cade Klubnik, who left with an injury but returned after one play, found freshman wide receiver TJ Moore for a 23-yard score on a screen pass.

Clemson has outscored its opponents 90-0 in the first quarter this season.

On the second play of the Tigers’ third drive, quarterback Cade Klubnik found Williams, who took a hit from an FSU defender but stayed up, for a touchdown.

Williams, who left last week against Stanford with an undisclosed injury, scored his fourth touchdown of 2024.

The Tigers scored first downs on four straight drives, but their offense stalled in the red zone. Freshman kicker Nolan Hauser hit a 26-yard field goal to get Clemson on the board.

Clemson wide receiver Troy Stellato has three catches in the game, including two on this possession.

Clemson will receive the ball first and FSU will receive it early in the second half.
