Frank Ocean fans are heartbroken after the release of Tyler, The Creator’s Chromakopia album

Frank Ocean fans were devastated to find out he would not be featured on The Creator’s Tyler’s new album Chromakopia, after being convinced in the lead-up to the release that he would make a surprise appearance.

Rapper Tyler, 33, released his eighth studio album on Monday, just 12 days after officially announcing the project.

During the marketing rollout, fans raved about the theory that 37-year-old Thinkin Bout You singer Frank would make a secret guest appearance thanks to a few red herrings.

The internet went into a frenzy when it was discovered that Chromakopia would be released on Frank’s 37th birthday.

They also noticed that Tyler drove a white Ferrari in the music video for the song Noid, which was released as a single on October 21st.

Fans immediately believed that the car was a reference to Frank’s track “White Ferrari,” which was featured on his 2016 album Blonde, and that it was a hint that a collaboration was imminent.

Additionally, a teaser for Tyler’s new track “St Chroma” had the internet buzzing that he had collaborated with Frank due to the cryptic vocals.

It has since been revealed that Daniel Caesar has adapted his vocals to the track.

However, Frank is nowhere to be seen on Chromakopia.

Instead, the 14-song track list includes features from guests GloRilla, Daniel Caesar, Teezo Touchdown and Childish Gambino, to name a few.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, angry fans vented their frustration.

One wrote: “I was hoping for a surprise Frank Ocean feature on #Chromakopia for his 37th birthday, I guess it wasn’t meant to be.”

Another said: “Tyler the Creator’s new album is absolutely amazing. ‘BUT WHERE IS FRANK OCEAN?’

A third continued: “Frank Ocean not being on Tyler’s album was my biggest heartbreak of the month.”

Others accused fans of being “delusional” about the fantasy collaboration.

“Kinda wish people would stop expecting Frank Ocean to be on every Tyler project lol you’ll just end up disappointing yourself,” one said.

“No Frank Ocean feature in Chromakopia, y’all just delusional,” another added.

Frank and Tyler’s friendship goes back a long way to when the singer joined the rapper group Odd Future in 2009.

In 2011, he featured on Tyler’s song “She”, which appeared on his album Goblin.

Frank fans have been patiently waiting for the Grammy Award-winning artist to release new music to the world.

His debut album, Channel Orange, released in 2012, was an instant success, as was his second album, Blonde, in 2016.

Last year, Frank canceled his second Coachella performance after his first performance the week before was plagued by technical problems.

The performance marked the end of a six-year break.

Although there is no official information yet about Frank’s new music, Tyler fans will be embarking on a seven-month world tour in celebration of Chromakopia.

The tour begins February 2nd in Minnesota and will take him throughout North America before heading to the UK and Europe on April 25th.
