Former Patriots coach Bill Belichick announces his joining of “Instaface”

FOXBORO – Bill Belichick may not be an NFL head coach this season, but he’ll be talking football everywhere, including on social media.

Belichick announced on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday that he is officially joining Instagram.

“I still can’t believe it, but I’m on Instaface now,” Belichick joked with McAfee. Since then, Belichick has amassed nearly 100,000 followers in just a few hours.

Belichick posted his own welcome message on his new account.

The former Patriots head coach will use his new Instaface account to “connect with fans” while promoting his various media activities in 2024. And he has a lot of those in 2024.

Belichick also announced another media appearance on Wednesday as he will now join the 33rd team.

Belichick joins the 33rd team covering all things NFL football as a strategic advisor. according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. He’s not the only former NFL head coach joining the site. Former Patriots coordinator Matt Patricia and former Jets head coach Adam Gase will also be part of the 33rd team. Former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum originally launched the 33rd team in 2021.

Despite being without a head coaching job in the NFL for the first time in nearly 50 years, Belichick, 72, will appear in many media roles this season. He will appear weekly on The Pat McAfee Show and serve as an analyst on “Inside the NFL.” He also has his own show, COACHat Underdog Fantasy.

Belichick is also working with Peyton Manning this year. The duo will host “The Breakdown” every Friday night on ESPN+.In the 30-minute show, the former rivals give a taste of this week’s Monday Night Football duel.

And on Monday night, Belichick will join Peyton and Eli Manning on The ManningCast during the first half of the game. It doesn’t sound like Belichick will have much free time during the 2024 NFL season.

Belichick is only 14 wins behind Don Shula on the NFL’s all-time win list, so he will definitely try to get back into coaching in 2025. But until that opportunity presents itself, he will keep himself busy with a series of media appearances where he can continue to talk about and analyze the game he loves.
