Former Oklahoma State star catches Lamar Jackson’s longest career touchdown

In the Baltimore Ravens’ Week 10 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, former Oklahoma State star receiver Tylan Wallace had just nine total receptions in four years. Because he operated primarily as a special teams member, he was not a key contributor to the offense.

That changed on Thursday night against the Ravens’ division rival.

Lamar Jackson had conceded a single touchdown in the fourth quarter and was hoping to quickly lead his team to a score to tie the game. On third down, Jackson connected with Wallace on a short route to convert the first down, but the former Cowboy then made a game-winning play. After breaking a tackle, Wallace took it to the house for a touchdown.

Interestingly, this was Jackson’s longest touchdown pass of his career. Despite being the most unlikely receiver, Wallace made a name for himself on Thursday night. On the very next drive, he had another big catch of more than 20 yards, which eventually set up a touchdown from Mark Andrews later in the possession.

It’s uncertain whether Wallace can be a consistent player in the Ravens’ offense, but the former Oklahoma State star has advocated for more offense on offense. While all eyes were on newly acquired receiver from Baltimore Diontae Johnson, it was Tylan Wallace who stole the show on Thursday.
