Former Georgia Tech star signs free agent contract with San Francisco 49ers

Former Georgia Tech punter Pressley Harvin III will have a new NFL team. Harvin was a punter for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but will now play for one of the NFL’s best teams, the San Francisco 49ers, according to multiple reports.

Harvin was Pittsburgh’s punter for three seasons before being fired. During his career in Pittsburgh, he averaged 43.7 yards per punt and had 75 total punts inside the 20-yard line.

One of the best special teams players in Georgia Tech football history, Harvin won the 2020 Ray Guy Award, considered the nation’s best punter, was a unanimous All-American and first team All-ACC in 2020, second team All-ACC in 2018 and third team All-ACC in 2017.
