Football Parlay Friday Week 8: Georgia and four other underdogs with a chance to win

Friday is here, which means we can dive into the college football stock market and see where the value of our Football Parlay Friday lies.

Last week wasn’t a successful week for us, but it was almost a pretty good week. USC and Virginia both held the lead in the final minutes of their games before ultimately losing (USC managed to lose in overtime). Overall we’re still up for the year, so hopefully we can get back on track this week and keep going.

Season balance: 10-67, +$2.60, +1.7% ROI

This week’s schedule includes some big games, so it should be a fun little extra sweat as we all watch the College Football Playoff dreams come true – or die.

I think these five bets all have value – or close to it, according to my college football projection model, and I’ll place them in a round-robin contest. (See all of my college football predictions for Week 8 here.)

The bets:

  • Central Michigan Money Line (+135) at Eastern Michigan
  • Tulsa money line (+130) at Temple
  • Oregon State Moneyline (+200) vs. UNLV
  • Georgia money line (+165) in Texas
  • Florida moneyline (+105) vs. Kentucky

I originally had Georgia Tech at +290 against Notre Dame, but it will be the Yellow Jackets without quarterback Haynes King Therefore, I no longer recommend including this in the parlay. Oregon State +200 is the replacement.

A simple combination would allow all five of these bets together at odds of +8709. This means that if you bet $1, you will win $87.01. This will be part of our combination, but sportsbooks have a feature called round robins that automatically plays out different combinations.

In the BetMGM interface, scroll down your bet slip to view this section. I choose “Round Robin 2/5”. This selection combines each bet with another bet, creating 10 two-game combinations (11 combinations in total if you include the five-game combination above). I will bet $2 on each bet in this process, for a total of $22.

The round robin games:

  • Central Michigan/Tulsa/Oregon State/Georgia/Florida (+8709) – $2 for a profit of $174.18
  • Central Michigan/Tulsa (+440) – $2 for a profit of $8.81
  • Central Michigan/Oregon State (+605) – $2 to win $12.10
  • Central Michigan/Georgia (+523) – $2 for a profit of $10.48
  • Central Michigan/Florida (+382) – $2 for a profit of $7.64
  • Tulsa/Oregon State (+590) – $2 to win $11.80
  • Tulsa/Georgia (+509) – $2 to win $10.19
  • Tulsa/Florida (+371) – $2 to win $7.43
  • Oregon State/Georgia (+695) – $2 for a profit of $13.90
  • Oregon State/Florida (+515) – $2 for a profit of $10.30
  • Georgia/Florida (+443) – $2 to win $8.86
