Fans call Blake Griffin ‘King of Side Quests’ after he performs the wedding ceremony (VIDEO)

Blake Griffin has been enjoying his retirement since he gracefully retired from the NBA last April. According to his Instagram page, he has appeared on podcasts, spoken at the Cannes Film Festival, and is active in the cultural landscape. It also appears that the former power forward has now been ordained as an ordained minister.

Over the weekend, Griffin, 35, officiated the wedding ceremony for his former Boston Celtics teammate Payton Pritchard and his current wife Emma MacDonald.

While the details of the vows and speeches were left to the bride and groom and wedding guests, Griffin revealed a condition the groom made during the ceremony.

“At no point tonight am I allowed to imitate Payton,” Griffin said in a video shared by Celtics shooting guard Jaylen Brown. “So don’t talk to me when Payton isn’t here and don’t ask me to.”

Pritchard, 26, looked dapper in an all-white suit, while MacDonald, 23, looked stunning in a white strapless dress. Griffin looked elegant in a white shirt and blue coat, with a white rose on his left side.

Outside of basketball, Griffin has taken on many other roles. In 2021, he hosted a prank TV game show called “Double Cross with Blake Griffin” and previously appeared as himself on shows such as “Broad City” and “The Female Brain.”

His recent appearance as his former teammate’s best man has earned him the title of “King of Side Quests” among online fans.
