The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) Athletics Department will once again host “Movie Night at The Factory” at Rynearson Stadium on Thursday, August 29th.

The annual event offers fans the opportunity to enjoy a family-friendly movie under the stars on the stadium’s iconic gray turf.

The gates open at 7pm, with the film Inside Out 2 Start time approximately 7:30pm. Entry to the event is free and fans are asked to bring blankets to sit on the field as no furniture is allowed.

Concessions will be available, but only bottled water is allowed on the lawn. In case of inclement weather, the film will be moved to the George Gervin GameAbove Center.

“It was a great opportunity for our department to see Rynearson Stadium with fresh eyes and enjoy Crosby Field for the first time. It was also an opportunity to continue the community involvement and kick off the holiday weekend in a unique way,” said Greg Steiner, EMU Athletics’ Assistant Athletic Director/Media Relations Officer.

The Fun Zone opens at 7:00 p.m. and offers visitors activities on the playing field before the film begins.

With the fall sports season approaching, this event serves as a community gathering to create excitement.

The EMU ticket office has also announced the sale of ticket packages for 2024. The first home game will be on September 14 against Jacksonville State University. Fans can find more information and purchase tickets on the official EMU website.

“Anything is possible – we will continue to look for ways to ensure Ypsilanti and the Eastern Michigan University community have a first-class experience every time they step foot on our campus,” Steiner added, hinting at the potential for more community events.
