Embarrassing! The people in this 2012 film have stupid looking cell phones

Oh man, this is so embarrassing. Everyone in this 2012 movie I’m watching has these stupid looking cell phones. What are they anyway? They’re all small and weird. They look nothing like the phone I’m holding right now. Someone must have screwed up making this movie.

Why would they have these stupid things in this movie from over a decade ago? Didn’t they even know about the iPhone 15 in 2012 or something? I can’t believe they would have this old technology from ten years ago in a movie as high budget as this.

Oh my God! A character just pulled out a flip phone! Who even has one anymore? I don’t think I’ve seen anyone use a flip phone in at least eleven or twelve years. Those people from over a decade ago really don’t seem to be keeping up with the latest technology.

And just look at the fake social media thing they have on their phones. “FacePic”? It doesn’t even look like Instagram or anything. It looks like it’s supposed to be MySpace! What is this, 2007? How could these people not be using TikTok in 2012? That’s how you stay with the times, Hollywood!

Perhaps the most embarrassing thing about this movie, which came out at the beginning of Obama’s second term, is the way people use their phones. They actually use them to talk to each other, not just to spend hours texting or looking at funny memes. Not one person in this movie watches a fitness influencer’s video while driving or plays a gamer streaming video at full volume while online at Burger King. Perhaps most unbelievably, though, there’s a scene where people are in a crowded movie theater and they don’t even constantly check their phones. This is like pure science fiction!

I understand that a movie isn’t real and that the things people do in it don’t always correspond to reality, but having a movie with silly looking old phones from so long ago in a twelve year old movie and then having me watch it in the present day is just stupid. Once again these movie producers in Hollyweird are getting it all wrong. It amazes me how stupid some people can be.
