Efforts are also still being made to encourage people to go out and vote.
Denver Harbor Cares, an East Houston voting group, spoke to ABC13 as they knocked on doors to remind people of the upcoming election.

The group’s work can be viewed as risky because SB1 — a controversial bill that made it a felony for voter organizations to support people “in the presence of the ballot” or during the voting process — has led to other groups being investigated Voter harvest.

The group told ABC13 they are not trying to influence voters, just getting them to vote.
