Friday is the last day to vote early before Election Day next week.

This year’s ballot includes several notable races, including the closely contested presidential race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.

Texas also has an important Senate seat at stake: Democratic candidate for U.S. Rep. Colin Allred of Dallas is challenging incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz.

Voters will also weigh in on several key proposals, including Amarillo’s Proposal A to become a sanctuary city for the unborn, Dallas’ cannabis decriminalization proposal and school bond measures in counties like Frisco and Allen.

Here’s how to find your nearest polling station and make your voice heard:

Where can I vote early in Texas?

Registered voters can cast their vote early at any polling station in their county.

On the Texas Secretary of State’s VoteTexas.gov website, you can find early voting locations in the “In-Person Voting” section by clicking “Where’s My Polling Place” and then “My Voter Portal.” There you can enter your name, county, date of birth and zip code to find your registration information and the nearest polling location.

You can also contact your county clerk for early voting locations near you: sos.state.tx.us/elections/voter/county.shtml.

What do I need to bring with me to vote?

According to VoteTexas.Gov, the following is a list of acceptable photo IDs required to vote:

  • Texas driver’s license
  • Texas voter ID card
  • Texas ID card
  • Texas handgun license
  • US citizenship certificate with photo
  • US military ID card
  • US passport

Anyone unable to provide one of the forms of identification listed above may complete a Reasonable Obstacle Declaration and provide an alternative form of identification when voting. This could be a utility bill, bank statement, government check, or voter registration certificate.
