Early voting begins two weeks before Election Day. Here’s what you need to know

DORAL, Fla – Starting Monday, early voting will take place daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. On these days, you can visit any polling place in your county to vote in person.

In Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties, voting booths are operational and ballot containers are secured.

A total of 33 polling locations are open in Miami-Dade County.

If you would like to vote by absentee ballot, that option is already open and available to voters who have requested an absentee ballot.

You can return your ballot by mail or simply drop it off at a secure ballot drop box available at all early voting locations in all three counties.

The copies already received back in Miami-Dade were stored at the Miami-Dade County Elections Department warehouse in Doral.

From there, employees cut open envelopes and check the signatures. A security guard is on guard.

“We are taking major measures, both from a security standpoint — cybersecurity — and physical,” said Christina White, Miami-Dade elections director.

“We’re making sure our building is a safe place to work for our employees,” said Broward Elections Director Joe Scott, adding that everyone from the public is invited to the county’s new election headquarters in Fort Lauderdale to see how it works Process works.

The results will be available on election day.

All three election officials in Miami – Dade, Broward and Monroe – are expecting very large voter turnouts in these early voting days.
