Video of Durga Temple goes viral

Vijayawada: A video by Kanaka Durga Temple‘s sanctum sanctorum went viral on various Social Media Platforms including Facebook and Instagram.
The video raises questions about the enforcement of Mobile phone restrictions within the temple grounds.
The state endowments department has banned the use of mobile phones on the temple premises.
The temple’s chief officer, KS Rama Rao, has filed a complaint with the One Town police and initiated a review of the temple’s CCTV footage.
“Taking photographs inside the temple is an offence. Security checks are mandatory and people using mobile phones should be caught there. However, some have bypassed the security check. We will identify the culprits soon,” the EO said.
The police are investigating the incident as a cybercrime incident.
“This is clearly a security breach. This is not the first time that videos from the temple have leaked online. The government must take this issue seriously,” said Chikkala Rajanikanth, an official of the Hindu Yuva Shakti.
Investigations are ongoing and authorities are determined to prevent future security breaches.
