Dump truck driver dies in accident on I-95 in Prince George’s County

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Maryland (DC News Now) — Maryland State Police (MSP) said the driver of a dump truck was killed in a crash on I-95 in Prince George’s County Tuesday morning.

State police told DC News Now that officers were called to I-95 and Sandy Spring Road shortly after 9:15 a.m. for a dump truck accident.

The driver, who was the only one in the truck, died at the scene of the accident.

Heavy police presence near Coach House Square in Ashburn. Avoid the area.

MSP said investigators are working to contact the victim’s next of kin.

On Tuesday morning, the Prince George’s County Fire Department said significant delays were expected on I-95 and several northbound lanes were closed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by MSP.
