Did Trump Accuser Stacey Williams Work for Barack Obama? What we know

Representatives for Donald Trump said the former president’s latest accuser of sexual misconduct, Stacey Williams, was a former activist for Barack Obama, but denied the allegations against him.

The former supermodel claimed that Trump groped her body in 1993 after he was introduced to her by late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who she was allegedly “seeing” at the time. She said she had no personal knowledge of the crimes committed by Epstein.

Williams detailed her claims Monday in a phone call with Survivors for Kamala, a cohort of more than 200 survivors of sexual and gender-based violence that is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris in her bid to win next month’s presidential election.

Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s national press secretary for his 2024 campaign, said The Guardianwhich first reported the call: “These allegations, made by a former campaigner for Barack Obama and announced at a Harris campaign call two weeks before the election, are clearly false. It is obvious that this fake story was fabricated by the Harris campaign.”

Newsweek emailed Survivors for Kamala on behalf of Williams seeking a response to a question about whether she worked for Obama and reached out to the Harris campaign for comment. It also contacted Obama’s team via email.
