Jalen Duren twisted his ankle early in the first quarter of their road game against the Charlotte Hornets. He winced as he left the field following a timeout by head coach JB Bickerstaff, but came back into the game.

It appeared his ankle was still hurting him, and he didn’t play in the first half after being substituted with 4:29 left in the first quarter. Paul Reed came into the game in Duren’s place midway through the second quarter.

Duren has struggled with injuries to both ankles in his three NBA seasons. He sprained his left ankle twice last season, missing eight games in December and another game in April. He is averaging nine points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 blocks per game this season.
