Will anyone check on Ben Affleck?

The 52-year-old “The Accountant” actor looked distinctly unhappy during his movie night with his 15-year-old daughter Seraphina and came out of hiding after Jennifer Lopez asked him to drop his famous last name amid their ongoing divorce.

Affleck appeared stressed and clutched his phone while accompanying his teenager and several friends to an AMC movie theater in the upscale Marina Del Rey neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, on Thursday night. The outing came just hours after Lopez’s divorce documents revealed that she no longer wants to use her legal name “Jennifer Lynn Affleck” after taking Ben’s last name following their July 16, 2022 wedding in Las Vegas.

The “Air” star was clearly stressed, he had a serious expression and was unable to make contact with the children as he showed them the way from the parking lot to the cinema.

Affleck kept it casual in beige cargo pants, a gray t-shirt, and a blue shirt that he left open. The Oscar winner wore a pair of his signature Nike sneakers and held his phone in one hand and his car keys in the other.

While Affleck looked downcast, Seraphina appeared to be in high spirits. The teenager flashed a smile as she chatted with friends and followed her famous father to the movies.

Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from Affleck on Tuesday, August 20 – the anniversary of their second wedding ceremony – because she reportedly wanted it to “hurt.”

The “Let’s Get Loud” singer cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She gave the date of the split as April 26, 2024, which means that they were no longer a couple before the breakup rumors emerged in May.

Four months ago, it was revealed that Affleck and Lopez were living separately as he moved out of their shared mansion and into a rental property. The couple were rarely seen together this summer, missing important moments like Lopez’s 55th birthday and their second wedding anniversary in Sin City in July.

The “Hustlers” actress is said to be “heartbroken” and “humiliated” by the split, especially because she thought she had finally found her happy ending after several failed marriages. Lopez spoke out after their split in 2004, claiming she felt like she was “dying” after calling off their wedding in 2003.

Although she sang “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” that may not be entirely true.

Lopez did not disclose whether there was a prenuptial agreement when filing their divorce documents, but sources told TMZ that the exes did not sign one before walking down the aisle.

If that’s true, everything Lopez and Affleck earned during their short marriage could be considered joint property – and the two have been very busy since their wedding.

They even have a project together, the film “Unstoppable,” which will premiere next month at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival. Lopez stars in the film, which is produced by Affleck and Matt Damon’s company Artists Equity.

Sources told People that while Affleck will not be at the premiere, his best buddy and ex-wife will be present at the red carpet event.
