The NFL made some interesting fashion choices in the first week.

On Thursday, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce strutted around the arena with a barely recognizable haircut and shave, and then wore a really bad hat at the U.S. Open this weekend.

On Sunday, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow entered the stadium as if he were heading to high school class.

Today, the San Francisco 49ers’ star receiver, Deebo Samuel, showed up with a very special outfit for Monday night’s game against the New York Jets. The 28-year-old receiver wore a black leather jumpsuit with rhinestone straps. He also had a lot of ice around his neck.

Well, Samuel has a lot of country boy in him – he grew up in South Carolina and played for the South Carolina Gamecocks. This is as country as it gets, but with an edgy twist.

For the record, it is clear that he changed when he entered the field:

Samuel was part of the prolific 49ers offense that was one overtime away from winning the Super Bowl. He finished last season with 60 catches for 882 yards and seven touchdowns, along with five more runs on the ground. If he plays as well as he’s dressed, he should have another great season.
