What’s the story?

New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers is facing rumors of tension with coach Robert Saleh and speculation about a reunion with former Green Bay Packers Davante Adams.

Asked about Adams’ trade prospects during a London media session on Friday, Rodgers replied: “I don’t know how much I can say based on manipulation.”

Amidst all these developments, we decode Rodgers’ career stats.

The Rodgers and Jets’ 2024 season so far

Rodgers returned in 2024 after suffering an Achilles tendon injury in 2023.

The Jets are 2-2, with Rodgers totaling 849 passing yards, five touchdowns and one interception.

Although internal dynamics are under scrutiny, Rodgers has taken responsibility for the offense’s problems and promised improvements.

Currently second in the AFC East, the Jets will face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at 7:00 PM IST.

Rodgers denies feud with Saleh, calls him a ‘good friend’

Rodgers addressed rumors of a falling out with Saleh and denied any problems between them.

Rodgers said: “We’re really good friends,” then added that the speculation was being driven by outside forces.

Saleh also praised their relationship as “fantastic” in his post-game press conference.

Meanwhile, Rodgers also dismissed concerns about his “cadence,” which was criticized after the Jets’ loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 4.

Adams trade speculation is heating up as the deadline looms

Speculation about Adams’ move is increasing, particularly with regards to a possible reunion with Rodgers with the Jets.

Currently with the Las Vegas Raiders, Adams reportedly favors this move but is concerned about Rodgers’ long-term future in New York beyond 2024.

Although both players have mutual respect, tampering concerns prevent Rodgers from publicly discussing the trade.

Rodgers’ impressive career stats

Over his illustrious 20-year career, Rodgers played in 235 games, completing 5,083 passes for 59,904 yards, 480 touchdowns and 106 interceptions.

A four-time NFL Most Valuable Player (2011, 2014, 2020, 2021) and four first-team All-Pro selections.
