Nebraska Lottery

Lincoln, NE – August 26, 2024 – Richard Welch of Davey is the sixth winner of a 2024 Ford F-150 XLT 4×4 SuperCrew truck in the 29th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s $2 Truck$ & Buck$ scratch-off game.

Welch purchased his winning Truck$ & Buck$ ticket at U-Stop #12, 6801 Wildcat Dr. in Lincoln. Nebraska Lottery officials presented him with his new truck at the U-Stop on Monday, August 26.

Welch stopped at U-Stop, bought 10 Truck$ & Buck$ tickets and took them home to scratch them off early one morning, winning the top prize.

“I didn’t believe it,” he said. “I had to go in and wake up my wife so I could tell someone.”

U-Stop is about a mile from his house and is the only place he buys his tickets, Welch said. He is a regular customer and most of the U-Stop employees knew who he was and were happy for him, he said.

“It feels good,” he said. “It’s a great feeling.”
