Tonight, a line of thunderstorms will develop along a southeastward-moving cold front from Northeast Texas southwest through North Texas, Central Texas, the Hill Country and the Edwards Plateau. Some of these storms could produce strong winds, hail and heavy rain. These storms will move southeast/east across the eastern half of Texas this evening into Tuesday morning. Some rain remains possible across the eastern third of Texas Tuesday morning, but we expect most of the weather to end by midday tomorrow as colder air moves into the state.

Speaking of colder air, there’s a chance of snow in the northwest Texas Panhandle this afternoon and tonight! About an inch of wet snow is possible in Dalhart. Things are looking calm Wednesday before our next storm system brings rain, storms and perhaps a little frozen precipitation to Texas on Thursday and Friday.
