The Dallas Stars (6-3-0) hit them Florida Panthers (8-3-1) again at the Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland, in an NHL Global Series game on Saturday. Puck drop is scheduled for noon ET (NHL Network). Let’s analyze the 24/7 NHL odds from BetMGM Sportsbook Stars vs Panthers Opportunities and meet our NHL expert picks and predictions.

Season series: Panthers lead 1-0

The reigning Stanley Cup champion Panthers have won a season-best four games in a row, all on the road, while outscoring opponents 20-10. That includes a 6-4 win in the NHL Global Series clash on Friday in Tampere.

In Friday’s win, Florida got off to a fast start with goals from C Evan RodriguezC Aleksander Barkov and C Anton Lundelland took the lead 3-1 after 20 minutes. Barkov scored one goal and four points in his first NHL game in his hometown.

After two periods it was 4:2 because C Sam Reinhart scored a goal while outnumbered. The teams scored two goals each in the third period, giving us one of the highest-scoring international NHL games in recent memory. In fact, Florida’s six goals tied an NHL record for a non-North American regular season game. The Colorado Avalanche scored six goals against the Columbus Blue Jackets on November 4, 2022.

The Stars have scored 4 or more goals in 3 consecutive games and have found the net in 4 of the last 5 games. The over is 2-0-2 in its last 4 contests, following a 5-0 under from October 12-19.

Stars vs. Panthers tips and predictions

forecast

Stars 3, Panther 2

Money line

The STARS (-110) are worth a look as they look to bounce back from Friday’s big loss.

In this battle of backup goaltenders, going with DeSmith for Dallas is a good idea. He wasn’t nearly as generous to Florida as Knight was.

Both teams played pretty well non-stop last season, with Florida going 6-1-1 with a plus-9 goal difference and Dallas going 6-3-2 with a plus-9 goal difference.

Puck Line/Against the Spread

The Stars +1.5 (-250) will cost you two and a half times your potential return if you want insurance on the team that is considered the “away team” in Saturday’s second leg. That’s far too expensive, even if you add it up to a multi-leg or cross-sport game.

HAPPEN.

Over/Under

UNDER 6.5 (-120) was a terrible game on Friday, but we’ll play it again on Saturday.

The under is still 5-2-2 in Dallas’ last 9 games. Additionally, the Under team posted a 6-2 record in eight games for Florida last season, in which they played non-stop.

Because of all the travel and quick turnaround, these teams are likely to be a little sluggish after Friday’s offensive show.
