The Predators (-105) are strong at home even though they are small dogs. Nashville has made some huge improvements to the roster, including Marchessault and Stamkos. Look for these two players to fire out of the gates with their new team.

The Stars (-115) will be a serious Stanley Cup contender, but it’s unfortunate that they have a tough road game ahead of them.

Puck Line/Against the Spread

The Predators +1.5 (-250) will cost you two and a half times your potential return, and that’s far too risky a play for you not to get nearly enough reward.

If you like Nashville in the opening game at home, just play it on the money line.
