AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Westerly winds ahead of an approaching cold front will make for another unseasonably warm day Saturday, then clouds, much cooler temperatures and a slight chance of rain move in Sunday into early next week. Warmer than average temperatures and dry conditions return Tuesday through Friday, so Thursday looks like warm weather for trick-or-treaters, with partly sunny skies and highs in the lower 80s on Halloween.

Expect sunny skies Saturday with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. Winds will be light from the west at 3 to 8 miles per hour.

Clouds will build up on Saturday night and there may be a slight chance of showers. Due to cloud cover, overnight lows will be on the warm side in the lower 60s with winds turning northeast at speeds of 3 to 8 mph.

Sunday looks to be cloudy overall with a slight chance of isolated showers. Afternoon highs will be over 15 degrees cooler than Saturday, with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s. It will also be windy, with winds out of the northeast at 6 to 11 mph.

Clouds could continue into Monday, but it should be a dry day with highs in the lower 70s

This gradual warming trend will continue Tuesday through Friday. Expect partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies each day, with highs in the mid 70s on Tuesday, near 80s on Wednesday and lower 80s on Thursday and Friday. Morning lows will be milder than average in the mid 50s on Tuesday, upper 50s on Wednesday and milder than average in the mid 50s on Thursday and Friday.
