Cup points standings after the race at Charlotte Roval

play

Four more drivers dropped out of Sunday’s Bank of America ROVAL 400 NASCAR Cup Series cutoff race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway road course.

Joey Logano, Ausitn Cindric, Daniel Suarez and Chase Briscoe were eliminated from the playoffs. Only Logano had a reasonable chance of reaching the round of 8 via points at the end of the day.

Tyler Reddick won the first stage on Sunday, then had to start the second stage in the middle of the field due to pit strategy and got into trouble in a collision with Denny Hamlin while also hitting the curb. It took several stops for the No. 45 Toyota to become more competitive, but Reddick moved from the mid-20s to 11th and picked up enough points to get past Logano.

Kyle Larson picked up more playoff points with his win on Sunday as he, Christopher Bell and William Byron advanced to the next round before the start of the final stage at the Roval.
