The planning and high costs of a wedding can be physically, mentally and emotionally stressful – and of course financially stressful – for any future couple.

Weddings aren’t cheap: According to Zola.com, the average wedding costs about $33,000. Granted, this price can fluctuate depending on the venue, guests, and your plans.

To partially offset the high expenses, one couple decided to charge their wedding guests $333 to attend.

What?!

Nova and Reemo Styles have come up with what they think is the best and most creative way to spend less on their big day.

For $333, you can take a 12-hour tour of New York City on a double-decker bus (if you were to book this yourself, it would cost about $90 per person).

So if you are traveling with just your companion, you get what you paid for, but you will have to add an additional $150 for the bride and groom to cover other expenses.

Before the wedding, the bride-to-be tried to explain her decision.

“People go to a Beyoncé concert because they know they’re going to have an experience,” she says. “Let’s put pressure on guests and sell tickets to a wedding.”

Her husband didn’t think it was the best idea at first – he didn’t think people would come. He said people would say, “I would never spend money on tickets. I don’t care. Who do you think you are? Jay-Z and Beyoncé?”

In the end, it doesn’t even matter because the couple had a beautiful wedding and saved a whopping $70,000 on their big day.

Could this be the future of the wedding where your guests have to buy tickets? Maybe only works if Dan + Shay perform live at the reception.
