Several of country music’s biggest stars are coming together in support at a special concert in North Carolina Hurricane Helene Relief measures.

Just two weeks after the tropical storm wreaked havoc across the Southeast, Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority announced that four major country singers will headline the Concert for Carolina, a charity event to support disaster victims.

The benefit show, which will feature some of the genre’s top artists, aims to raise funds and provide much-needed relief to those affected by the devastating storm Hurricane Helene.

Taking place October 26th at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina; The headliner of the concert is Luke CombsEric Church, Billy Strings and James Taylor and hosted by ESPN‘s Marty Smith and Barstool Sports’ Caleb Pressley.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the event, which promises to be both a night of star-studded entertainment and a strong show of community support.

Who else donated money for Hurricane Helene relief?

Last week, Dolly Parton pledged $1 million to support victims of Hurricane Helene after her home state of Tennessee was among six states affected by the disaster.

The aim of the initiative is to provide urgently needed help to those affected by the devastating storm.

Luke Combs and Eric Church announce new concert amid devastation from Hurricane Helene

The newly announced benefit concert is particularly meaningful for the four featured performers – Luke Combs, Eric Church, Billy Strings and James Taylor – all of whom have deep roots in North Carolina.

“This is my home. It’s in every fiber of me. “Our family members, friends, neighbors and communities are in dire need,” Church wrote on Instagram. “It is an honor to share the stage with an incredible line-up to help meet these needs. “Through the darkness, light will shine.”

Combs also took to social media and told his fans, “I told y’all I have something big planned for Carolina. This concert took so much planning, work and coordination from so many people. I am so grateful to everyone who helped.” Make this possible on such short notice.

The death toll from Hurricane Helene continues to rise

Accordingly, the death toll from Hurricane Helene has risen to at least 232 in six states CNNwith additional deaths reported in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee over the weekend.

Officials reported 14 additional deaths over the weekend — 11 in North Carolina, two in South Carolina and one in Tennessee. Massive relief efforts are underway to restore power, rebuild critical water and cellular infrastructure, and provide coverage to areas isolated by washed-out roads and bridges.

Helene is now the second deadliest hurricane to hit the continental United States in the last 50 years, surpassed only by Hurricane Katrina, which killed over 1,800 people in 2005.

Luke Combs and Eric Church will split the concert proceeds and donate to several hurricane relief charities

Proceeds from the event will be split equally between Luke Combs and Eric Church’s Chief Cares Foundation. Combs, the “Forever After All” singer, plans to donate his share to several charities, including Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC and a fourth yet-to-be-announced charity.

Chief Cares will assist “established charities and organizations that are well-run and organized and can deliver assistance directly to families affected by Hurricane Helene,” according to a press release from People magazine.

For those unable to attend the concert, there is an option to donate to the North Carolina Community Foundation Disaster Relief Fund. Additionally, Concert for Carolina’s website highlights several other organizations accepting donations to support hurricane relief efforts.
