Cooper Koch did not use prosthetics for the full-frontal monster scene

In Monsters, Cooper Koch stars as Erik Menendez during a full-frontal nude shower scene

Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez Star Cooper Koch didn’t use a fake penis for his nude shower scene.

Koch, who plays Erik in Ryan Murphy’s dramatization of the two brothers sentenced to life in prison for the murder of their parents in 1989.

The series was not entirely well received. Erik called it “naive and inaccurate,” while some viewers accused Murphy of creating “incestuous fetish porn.”

However, one thing that was well received was Cooper Koch’s full-frontal nude scene in episode three of the series. After he is arrested and imprisoned for the murder of his parents, he and fellow inmate Tony (Rodney Burford) shower together. And what the viewers saw was all him, said Koch Watch what happens live with Andy Cohen.

“Just to say, mine wasn’t a prosthetic,” the gay star said.

“Well, that would be my next question! Congratulations, Cooper!” Cohen shot back. “You’re very blessed, aren’t you?”

To which Koch replied: “Well stocked.”

And he’s no stranger to getting his chef out (sorry), having also appeared nude in the 2022 horror film Swallowed.

He also responded to criticism from Erik Menendez MonsterHe told Variety: “(His reaction) definitely touched me and made me feel emotions. “I sympathize with him, I feel for him. I get it, I understand how difficult it would be to televise the worst part of your life for millions of people to see. It’s so revealing. I understand how he feels and I stand by him.

“As far as approaching him and the role, I just wanted to do as much research and really dig deep into myself to portray him with integrity and as authentically as possible, to him and his family and all the people that are by my side “to support him.”

Murphy, meanwhile, said that Menendez “should send him flowers” because the show created a lot of buzz. “They haven’t received this much attention in 30 years. And it has captured the attention of not only this country but the entire world,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

“There is a kind of exuberant interest in her life and in the case. I know for a fact that many people have offered to help because of the interest in my show and what we have done.”

Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez is now streaming on Netflix.
