COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – Good Friday morning! Our coolest start to the day since the start of spring with temperatures dropping into the high 40s and low 50s.

Skies will remain clear throughout the morning and into the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will remain in the mid to low 70s for most of the afternoon, with temperatures eventually peaking in the upper 70s.

As the weekend begins, temperatures will drop again, bottoming out in the mid to upper 40s in rural areas of the viewing area. A few low 50s will also be likely. Conditions will remain consistent throughout the day, with lots of sunny, blue skies and highs in the 80s. Sunday will see slightly warmer temperatures in the morning and afternoon, with highs around 80°.

The week starts warmer than average on Monday, but a strengthening cold front will bring significantly cooler temperatures. Morning lows will be in the 40s while afternoon highs will barely reach 70 degrees as we stay dry and sunny.
