Connecticut Grown magazine coming soon to a farm stand near you

The Connecticut Department of Agriculture’s sixth annual Connecticut Grown magazine is now available in print and digital. The publication serves as a guide to the state’s farmers markets and food producers.

The latest edition focuses on efforts to diversify not only the number of food growers in the state, but also the methods and areas that can contribute to food production and the way the food is sold to consumers.

“Connecticut may be a smaller state, but our impact on agriculture is significant. It is always exciting when I join the Department of Agriculture to highlight all of the great CT Grown products and suppliers in our state because there really is so much variety, diversity and innovation,” said Lieutenant Governor Bysiewicz. “Now in its sixth edition, Grown in Connecticut The magazine is an accessible and practical guide to learning more about our farms, food and markets. I can’t thank Commissioner Hurlburt and the staff at the Department of Agriculture enough for all the work they do to support our state’s farmers.”

“Connecticut agriculture stretches from the ground to the Sound, and the sides of Grown in Connecticut “The magazine provides an opportunity to bring agriculture to a growing audience, educate community leaders about the positive impact of agriculture and show how state and federal programs are being adapted to meet the needs of today’s farmers,” said Agriculture Commissioner Bryan P. Hurlburt. “This would not be possible without our farmers and organizations featured in the stories, supporting advertisers and distribution partners and, of course, the team at Farm Flavor Media who worked closely with our team to create an engaging publication.”
