Coldplay music tour could be coming to El Paso, UTEP teases

According to a video posted by the UTEP Office of Special Events, one of rock’s biggest bands, Coldplay, is performing in El Paso.

The video incorporates footage of the Sun Bowl and images of the sky, with cheering fans heard in the background.

The headline reads #MOTSWT – the name of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour – and was posted late Sunday, October 6th.

Coldplay’s 2024 and 2025 tour dates are on the other side of the world – with performances in Mumbai, Hong Kong, Seoul and London.

The El Paso Times contacted UTEP’s special events office for more information about Coldplay in El Paso but has not yet received a response.

Similar videos with the same #MOTSWT caption have been posted on social media in recent days, including on the Wisconsin Badgers’

Many El Paso residents were excited to see the band play a show at the Sun Bowl, but had questions about when Coldplay might come to El Paso.

“Don’t play with me,” one comment said.

“Are you serious now?” another person wrote.
