Canadian actor Christopher Russell chatted about his leading roles in the Hallmark movies “A Costa Rican Wedding” and “The Nutcracker.”

“A wedding in Costa Rica”

The synopsis of this romantic comedy is: A clumsy maid of honor gets help from her attractive arch-enemy when something goes wrong at her best friend’s wedding in Costa Rica.

“This is my favorite Hallmark movie I’ve ever done,” he said. “I like it because it’s not a typical Hallmark movie. It’s more of a romantic adventure comedy.”

“In this film, we are trapped in the jungle and we have to find these rings; that’s all. Along the way, we find each other,” he said.

Russell on working with Rhiannon Fish in his leading role

“We actually shot the film in Costa Rica, in a real jungle in the hottest place in the world,” he said. “Working with Rhiannon Fish was great.”

“I’m calling this movie ‘Chasing Waterfalls 3,'” he said with a sweet laugh. “It premieres on August 17th.^th on the Hallmark Channel.”

“Operation Nutcracker”

The synopsis of “Operation Nutcracker” is: When an antique nutcracker scheduled to be auctioned at the Warby family’s Christmas charity goes missing, a demanding event planner and the heir to the Warby dynasty try to track it down.

“The film was good,” he admitted. “It was also a lot of fun. I loved working with the director, David Weaver, because he had a really fun way of approaching things. He was really open to collaboration. Overall, it was so much fun to make.”

2024 Halloween and Thanksgiving in Georgia

From 31 October^st From November 1st to 3rd, Russell will be at the upcoming Halloween and Thanksgiving Festival in Olde Town, Conyers, Georgia, hosted by RomaDrama.

“I can’t wait for this RomaDrama fan event,” Russell exclaimed. “This is my first time. They caught me all four days this Halloween weekend.”
