Cheapest ticket prices for Vanderbilt Football vs Virginia Tech in Week 1

Clark Lea’s fourth season as coach of the Commodores program begins with Vanderbilt football on August 31 (11 a.m. CT, ESPN) at FirstBank Stadium against Virginia Tech.

The game was originally scheduled to take place at Nissan Stadium, but was later moved to campus.

Renovations to the stadium will open new premium seating in the north end zone. The south end zone is still under construction. Improvements to the stadium from last season include a new video board in the north end zone, as opposed to last year’s setup where the video board was suspended from cranes.

Lea opted to take over as head coach of the defense himself for the 2024 season. On offense, New Mexico State’s Jerry Kill and Tim Beck will handle that side of the ball, with Beck calling the plays. Kill and Beck brought several Aggies players with them, including quarterbacks Diego Pavia and Blaze Berlowitz, tight end Eli Stowers and running back Moni Jones.
