Cheapest and most expensive seats

After the Minnesota Lynx eliminated the Connecticut Sun in five games earlier this week, the WNBA Finals matchup was set. The Lynx will face the New York Liberty for the W crown in a five-game series that begins Thursday and could extend through Sunday, Oct. 20.

The Liberty are returning to the finals after losing in four games to the Las Vegas Aces in last year’s edition. The Lynx, meanwhile, are back in the finals after making six such appearances between 2011 and 2017. During that span, they won four WNBA titles.

The revival of an old dynasty in Minnesota? Or the start of a new one in New York, where the Liberty have never won a single WNBA championship? These two questions and many more will be answered as the games progress.

Game 1 will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. on Thursday evening. Here’s a look at how much it would mean to you to see Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, Napheesa Collier and the rest of the stars on the West’s biggest stage.

At the time of writing, the average ticket price for Game 1 of the WNBA Finals as listed on Ticketmaster is somewhere between $250 and $300. For example, a ticket in Section 25, located in the lower bowl and parallel to a basket, is currently available for $292. Seats closer to midfield cost about $250.

But of course these are not the only options. Especially if you just want to get through the door.

If the goal is to get to Barclays and watch the game without having to worry about the quality of the seats, there are still plenty of affordable options available. As of this writing, seats on the 200 level of the arena, located in the upper bowl, are available for just $43. The most expensive 200-level seat available is still just $99.

A great option for fans who aren’t willing to spend a lot of money to watch the game in person.

At the other end of the spectrum, there are some really expensive tickets on sale, a precursor to the Lynx and Liberty, just inches closer. The most expensive seat for Game 1 is currently $4,674, which gets you a courtside seat under one of the baskets. Another $4,000 ticket gets you right on the sidelines across from one of the team benches.

After that huge number, prices fall slightly, but not significantly. Floor seats are available for $1,300 to $1,900. After this, Prices for the best seats in the lower bowl fall heavily into the $500 range.

It should be a great series no matter where you watch it.
