Wedding dress designer Pnina Tornai knows how to spend money—Paris Hilton is a fan, after all—but her tips will help any bridesmaid look like a star without going into debt.

Brides who don’t want to become bridezillas can consider some of the star designer’s suggestions when choosing bridesmaid dresses for their crew.

One of her biggest tricks will help make any bridesmaid happy.

“These days, many brides choose a colour scheme and then allow each of their bridesmaids to choose their own dress in those colours,” she told The US Sun.

“I think this is the best way to make sure all the important women in your life feel good and look good,” she continued.

This also helps your team save money.

“Everyone can choose a dress that they would like to wear again,” said Tornai.

“The silhouette can flatter her and the price can fit her budget,” she added.

The desire for luxury for less money does not have to be strenuous.

THE KEY TO ELEGANCE

The designer who designed a dress for Amber Rose’s big day is convinced that a certain color is always a real eye-catcher.

Most people don’t have to spend a lot of time searching for a specific style if they follow their A-list celebrity-approved advice.

“I think black is the most elegant and classic color for bridesmaids, and choosing black makes it even easier,” she said.

“Some of your girls may even already have a dress they can wear or borrow from a friend,” she added.

The ability to shop from their own closets will certainly be a relief for the bridesmaids.

Don’t overdo it when adding accessories.

“I recommend subtle accessories for bridesmaids because bridesmaids are there to support the bride!” she said.

“Many of my brides give their bridesmaids a small piece of jewelry as a thank you for being a part of their special day. Often times, it can add the finishing touch to their outfits too,” she said.

She also loves when wedding looks can be worn again and again, whether it is a classic dress or accessories.

For some brides, the shoes are the star of the show and a dress with a slit can show them off.

If you want to hold back on buying high heels, you can choose shoes in neutral colors and save for a later occasion.

If you are going to be a bride and a bridesmaid, a corset back trick can also help you save money on alterations.

She believes that the three most important things to spend money on are hair, makeup and dress.

Tornai also wants to make sure you don’t wait until the last minute in case adjustments need to be made.

“Order the dress in time so you have enough time for any necessary alterations!” she said.

She said most bridesmaid dresses are simpler than wedding dresses – fewer layers and nude illusions – and therefore less expensive.

While many brides fall in love with Tornai’s designs on TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress,” many big names are also fans of her bridesmaid dresses.
