CeeDee Lamb injury update: Jerry Jones gives a “hopeful” update on Cowboys WR

CeeDee Lamb is dealing with a problem with the right AC joint in his shoulder. He will undergo an MRI, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was confident Lamb can continue playing since returning to action against Atlanta ESPN’s Todd Archer. The Cowboys continue to struggle and are currently 3-5 overall, which puts them in third place in the NFC East.

Troy Aikman tore up the Cowboys and CeeDee Lamb

While everything is going wrong for the Dallas Cowboys, Troy Aikman is passing some of it on to their receiving corps.

On 96.7 The Ticket, Aikman focused on the work of Dallas’ wideouts, particularly their route running. Their “lazy” usage, along with other aspects, has resulted in a passing game that he feels is not up to par. That includes All-Pro receiver in CeeDee Lamb.

This season, Lamb recorded 53 catches for 660 yards and four touchdowns.

“I think the routes are terrible. I think they run terrible routes. And that’s what I thought about beyond this year,” Aikman said. “I think CeeDee (Lamb) needs to improve in route running.”

“As a quarterback, if you’re not sure where the guys are going to be consistently, it’s difficult to play the position. That’s what I see,” Aikman said. “I see guys being lazy and coming off the line of scrimmage. Sometimes they run. Usually it’s because they assume they’re going to get the ball in that game, but if they don’t, then they don’t, and it’s all connected. I’m not impressed with that part.”
