Can you help Richland Police identify the truck and driver?

Richland Police need your help identifying the driver of the truck in the photo.

Last Thursday, August 15, at around 2 p.m., an incident occurred on George Washington Way where the white truck photographed struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk and pushed him into the roadway. It happened in front of a McDonald’s near Williams Boulevard.

The driver did not stop or attempt to help. Instead, they drove off, heading south.

The pedestrian was lucky that he did not suffer any serious injuries.

However, there was some redness and bruising. Even if the victim was not seriously injured at the time, he or she may be in pain later. The bottom line is that the perpetrator must be found.

The driver must be held responsible. Leaving the scene of an accident is considered a hit and run. It is illegal. Penalties for leaving the scene of an accident may include:

Fines…In Washingtona Class B felony is punishable by a fine of up to $20,000, and a Class C felony is punishable by a fine of up to $10,000.

Prison sentence… A Class B felony is punishable by 10 years in prison, and a Class C felony is punishable by 5 years in prison.

Revocation of driving license…Your driving license could be confiscated for up to one year.
