“Call Her Daddy” fans condemn podcast host Alex Cooper over interview with Kamala Harris

“Call Her Daddy” host Alex Cooper enraged some of her fans over the weekend by releasing a surprise interview with Vice President Kamala Harris on her wildly popular podcast.

The podcast’s Instagram account posted a short teaser video on Sunday morning showing Cooper, 30, interviewing the Democratic presidential candidate.

However, some members of the “Daddy Gang” were unhappy with Harris’ appearance on the show and flooded the comments section of the post to express their frustration and criticize the show for becoming political.

“One of my favorite podcasts and now I will never listen to it again. incredible,” one user commented.

“Oh no, why did we have to get SO political? Listening to your podcasts was a nice escape from everything we hear about politics every day,” another fan wrote in the comments.

“DONE, that was my favorite podcast. I am 100% disgusted,” another added.

“I’m so disappointed, this feels like propaganda and trying to make her look like ‘Gen Z,'” another Daddy fan commented.

A handful of fans of the podcast also criticized Cooper for failing to address more pressing issues with Harris during the interview, such as illegal immigration and the Biden-Harris administration’s response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene.

“Ask her what she’s doing to help hurricane victims instead of talking in circles about women’s rights,” one fan wrote.

“Wait, what about the abuse and crime caused by the illegal immigrants flooding the country,” another commented.

“Ask her what her best and greatest accomplishment is in the last four years,” wrote another.

Harris, 59, spoke in an interview about strategies to curb sexual and other forms of domestic violence, but did not address the shocking allegations against her husband Doug Emhoff.

Last week, the second man was accused of drunkenly hitting an ex-girlfriend, the Daily Mail reported.

Three friends of one of his ex-girlfriends claimed that Emhoff, 59, was drunk and slapped her in May 2012

His representatives later flatly denied these allegations.

“This report is untrue,” an Emhoff spokesman later told Semafor, adding that “any claim that he would or ever beats a woman is false.”

However, during her appearance on “Call Her Daddy,” Harris passionately recalled how she began her career as a prosecutor and was inspired to take on domestic abusers.

One of her best friends in high school, Wanda Kagan, had told Harris that her stepfather was abusive to her, which motivated her to defend others suffering similar terror.

“We have to talk about it. “Child sexual assault is something that many more people acknowledge than the public discourse around it acknowledges,” Harris said, while emphasizing the need to “not stigmatize” it.

Harris also criticized her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump, for appointing the Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe vs. Wade and criticized him for telling women, “I will be your protector.”

When asked about Trump’s suggestion that she supports abortion “until birth and even after birth,” she bristled.

“This is so outrageously inaccurate and it is so insulting to suggest that something like this would happen and that women would do this. It’s not happening anywhere,” she said. “This guy is full of lies.”
