GenQ Quantum Computing Hackathon: June 4-6 October 2024
Even after qConnect, Calgary will continue to be the place for quantum enthusiasts committed to social change. From October 4-6, 2024, the GenQ Quantum Computing Hackathon, organized by QAI Ventures and supported by Quantum City, will welcome students, developers, young business professionals, innovation specialists, entrepreneurs, web designers and lateral thinkers to Platform Calgary for 48 hours of quantum ideation and prototyping. Participants can explore the most important technology of the 21st century and its potential to solve global problems such as climate change, hunger and health issues.

Experienced mentors will support the hackathon teams in realizing quantum technology use cases by sharing their knowledge, expertise and know-how, while quantum hardware companies will provide the critical infrastructure. Selected teams will be invited to a bootcamp to further develop their quantum use cases and receive additional support from QAI Ventures, industry partners and mentors. After the bootcamp, teams will be eligible to apply to the first round of QAI Ventures’ Accelerator program in Canada, a unique program tailored to support entrepreneurs and innovators through investment, coaching, networking opportunities and premium access to cutting-edge technology.
