BOSTON – The Boston Bruins today introduced the club’s commemorative jersey, which will be worn during the Centennial Game presented by Dunkin’ on December 1, 2024, the 100th anniversary of the franchise’s very first game against the Montreal Maroons (December 1, 1924). .

“The Centennial Game will be a special moment for our organization and especially for our fans, so the jersey design had to fit the occasion,” said Boston Bruins President Cam Neely. “There are so many elements that bring joy to both fans and players, but my favorite part of the jersey is the bottom hem; When our players pull this jersey over their heads, they will recognize our core values: tradition, courage, passion and heart. ABOUT THE CENTENNIAL GAME JERSEY

The special edition jersey combines elements of the past with a vision for the future, honoring the Black and Gold’s rich history as the club enters a new century. Popular parts of the team’s identity are given a modern twist, with the anniversary crest worn throughout the Centennial year, but in traditional Bruins gold. The anniversary crest combines the vintage spokes of Bruins legends like Bobby Orr and Ray Bourque with the modern serif “B” uniform that has appeared on Causeway Street since 2007.

Symbolizing the turn of the century, the sweater features a new, color-reversed version of the Centennial patch previously seen on the three Centennial uniforms for the 2023-24 season. The new patch includes a nod to December 1st as the date of the Bruins’ first game and brings back the celebratory metallic gold accent around the Bruins bear.

The jersey design is inspired by the 1980s, a pivotal era in Bruins history that embodies the team’s core values. The uniform kit features dipped gold sleeves and socks with a modern take on traditional stripes, paying homage to the Bruins alumni who previously represented the Spoked-B.

Other details inside the jersey include a special design on the collar and bottom hem. The collar features the score of the club’s very first game at the Boston Arena on December 1, 1924 – Boston Bruins 2, Montreal Maroons 1. The team’s core values ​​of tradition, courage, passion and heart are embedded in the bottom hem. which the club will continue to carry with it in the future.

The jersey features the name of the Boston Bruins’ official jersey patch sponsor, Rapid7, in a new location on the shoulder.
