    Browns QB Deshaun Watson left the Bengals NFL Week 7 with a leg injury

    Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered an apparent right leg injury in the second quarter of the Week 7 NFL game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at Huntington Bank Field.

    It was a non-contact injury when Watson put his foot down.

    “You see the bend in his leg, my goodness,” CBS play-by-play announcer Spero Dedes said during the broadcast.

    “Certainly a difficult scene with Deshaun Watson,” CBS color analyst Adam Archuleta said.

    Watson was emotional as he was carried off the field.

    Watson was replaced as QB by Dorian Thompson-Robinson, a fifth-round pick of the Browns in 2023. Jameis Winston was inactive.

    Thompson-Robinson played in eight games last season, including three starts. He had not played this season before Watson’s injury on Sunday.

    Thompson-Robinson led the Browns to their first score of the game, a 1-yard touchdown run by Nick Chubb shortly after he replaced Watson.

    Watson is in his third season with Cleveland after playing his first four NFL seasons with the Houston Texans.

    After Watson finished last Sunday’s loss to Philadelphia with 168 passing yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Cleveland was sticking with Watson as its starter.

    In six games this season, Watson had 1,020 passing yards with five TDs and three INTs, with a quarterback rating of 22.3.
