Bright and breezy, rain ahead – Boston news, weather, sports

Not bad, not bad at all. A bright and breezy start to the day kicks off the weekend as high temperatures climb to around 70 by midday. Wind gusts of 25-35 mph will continue through midday, easing slightly this afternoon and easing significantly in the evening. The breeze is thanks to a cold front moving through, but for today it is a dry front.

Temperatures will fall tonight, back into the 30s and 40s, with patchy frost possible in the coolest suburbs.

Clouds will increase early tomorrow morning as a few isolated showers look to move in. Tomorrow there will be sporadic showers near/south of the Pike as more consistent rain is likely in northern Mass and NH. Temperatures will be coolest where the rain is most consistent, and it will be a much cooler day overall for most of us. The exception to the cold is likely to be on the south coast, where temperatures can rise to 60°C.

Rainfall will become more frequent late in the day and overnight, with showers continuing into Monday morning.

Tuesday and Friday mornings look dry, with a cooler pattern again. With this in mind, we will probably have milder air again by next weekend.
