Bridal bliss: Insights into the wedding of former “Basketball Wives” star DJ Duffey and Iman Shokuohizadeh on Lake Como

DJ Duffey is a married woman!

Latosha Duffey, a DJ who toured with rapper French Montana for nearly a decade, entrepreneur and former Basketball wives Star, recently married her longtime partner, sports agent Iman Shokuohizadeh. The couple, who share a daughter named Shadi, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on Lake Como in Italy (currently a very popular destination for weddings and celebrity travel) with only their children as guests and witnesses, including Duffey’s son Heir from a previous relationship. Heir accompanied his mother to the altar for the special occasion.

The couple got engaged in 2016 after dating for a few months and welcomed Shadi into the world in 2020. After the wedding date was postponed due to various life events and commitments, including Shadi’s birth, Duffey decided she was ready to say “I do.” She planned her private wedding in just two weeks and enjoyed a family vacation through Europe instead of a traditional honeymoon.

“Iman and I were tired of putting off our wedding over and over again, whether it was because of Covid, buying a new house, having a new baby, me touring, or him being busy expanding his business. Our lives always seemed to be so busy,” she tells ESSENCE. “One day I just decided we were going to drive to Lake Como and get married in my dream destination. I planned the wedding in two weeks and we traveled around Europe with the kids for two weeks! It’s definitely unconventional, but it was the best time of my little family’s life.”

With the help of Italy-based wedding planning company Leoeventi, they married on the grounds of Villa Carlotta, a stunning art museum overlooking the shores of Lake Como.
