The Celtics scene was strongly represented at Payton Pritchard’s wedding: Celtics guard Payton Pritchard had quite a summer: He helped his team win the championship with shots from midfield, celebrated with the rest of the city and is now marrying his longtime girlfriend Emma MacDonald at the Wychmere Beach Club on Cape Cod.

In attendance at the wedding were numerous of Pritchard’s former and current Celtics teammates, including Jaylen Brown, Oshae Brissett, Blake Griffin, Lamar Stevens, Neemias Queta, Sam Hauser, Jaden Springer and Svi Mykhailiuk.

According to Adrienne Gaffney of Elle MagazineCeltics coach Joe Mazzulla and team co-owner Wyc Grousbeck were also in attendance (as was the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy).

Griffin presided over the ceremony and Brown shared a short video clip on social media.

“Yesterday was incredible,” Brown wrote in the caption, “Congratulations to my brother P Rabbit.”

In the video, Griffin, who was Pritchard’s teammate in Boston during the 2022-2023 season, can be heard making a joke about his imitation of the groom.

“At no point tonight am I allowed to impersonate Payton,” Griffin explains in the video clip. “So don’t come to me when Payton isn’t here and ask me to do it.”

MacDonald told Gaffney that Griffin was present in her life early on.

“He had been there since our third date,” she recalls. “He was Payton’s go-to guy when we started talking. A few days later he was playing in Dallas, so I flew out there and he nervously texted Blake and said, ‘What should I do? Should I ask her if she wants her own hotel room?’

“Blake was that guy who said, ‘Yeah, you should do that,’ and helped him. Then he was the third wheel on our date that night. I got talking to Blake and he was like, ‘Oh, I know that’s the girl for Payton. He’s going to marry her in a heartbeat.’ Six months after we met, we got engaged. Blake was there from the start.”

Things to know: Payton Pritchard was one of the Celtics’ three first-round picks in 2020. Can you name the other two?

(Answer below.)

Note: One (who attended Vanderbilt College) was eventually traded to the Pacers, while the other (who went to TCU) was quickly traded to the Grizzlies (where he was named to the 2021 NBA All-Rookie Second Team).

More from Boston.com:

Paris handed over the Olympic Games to Los Angeles via Tom Cruise: The Hollywood star took the Olympic flag from the French in the most American way possible. He jumped from the roof and left the Olympic stage on a motorcycle.

A random Kevin Garnett story: Australian NBA center Steven Adams recently explained that as a young player, he escaped the trash talk of then-Celtics forward Kevin Garnett by humorously lying about his inability to understand the language.

On this day: In 1969, the Celtics were sold by P. Ballantine & Sons to a holding company called Trans-National Communications Inc. for a then-record sum of $6 million.

The deal was designed to hurt then-Celtics general manager Red Auerbach, who later called Trans-National president Woody Erdman “the absolute worst” owner he ever dealt with, claiming he once had to write a personal check to ensure the Celtics’ phone lines were not cut.

The deal ended a few years later when Trans-National filed for bankruptcy and the team was sold again.

Daily highlight: Simply a routine level of excellence in the outfield defense from Red Sox rookie Ceddanne Rafaela on Sunday.
